BALLET

What is it?

Ballet is a type of classical dance form that can tell a story or express a thought, concept or emotion.  Ballet combines grace and precision through formalised steps and gestures set in intricate, flowing patterns to create expression through movement. Ballet dancing and music, is often performed with scenery and costumes, which combine to tell a story.
Apart from learning the positions and steps, acting and miming is also an important part of Ballet. Therefore, specifically with younger students, the exercises are taught through storytelling, which makes the class fun and leaves space for the students to use their imaginations.
